Transient States invites participants to reflect on the cyclical nature of addiction and its impact on our social environments. Using intuitive hand gestures, visitors manipulate a fluid circle at the center of the installation—representing addiction—and observe its ripple effects on the surrounding rings, symbolizing friends, family, and community.
This immersive artwork encourages experimentation, allowing participants to explore moments of struggle, surrender, and recovery. By making a tight fist, users can symbolically reclaim their balance, drawing the disrupted social circles back into harmony. The piece prompts questions about personal growth, resilience, and the interconnectedness of our actions.
